There are several ways to get discounts on your homeowners insurance. These include being located in a Firewise Community, and qualifying for discounts for defensible space and home hardening compliance.
FIREWISE COMMUNITY
Being in a Firewise Community qualfies you for a discount with many insurance companies, including CA Fair Plan. CLICK HERE for a link to a list of the companies currently offering discounts (on the CA Insurance Commissioner's website). For instance, the CA Fair Plan currently offers a 10% discount on your fire coverage if you are in a Firewise Community.

CA FAIR PLAN DISCOUNTS FOR DEFENSIBLE SPACE AND HOME HARDENING
