1. Check your gutters and downspouts - again! Yes, even though you did it in the fall, more debris has been falling. Grab those comfy work gloves and clear out the gutters and downspouts before the next rain comes.

2. Disconnect outside hoses, and turn off outside faucets to keep water from collecting and freezing in the hose and pipe.

3. Double check door and window seals. You can easily install weather stripping around windows or doors if you feel a draft. See this tutorial from Lowe's: https://www.lowes.com/n/how-to/weather-strip-windows

4. Change the filter in the furnace to get better air flow from the heater. 

5. Keep the temperature in your home set to at least 55 degrees  to keep pipes from freezing.
